Happy Valentine's Day!!

I'm so proud of myself for posting about Valentine's today and not my usual 3 months from now! Go me!

I know it's called Valentine's Day, but it's more like Valentine's Week around here! We had lots of Valentine cards to fill out and candy to be attached. In Nathan's pre-school class they sent home the names to be cut out and glued onto each Valentine. Then the kids would sort them out and put them in the correct bag - kinda like a matching game. Nathan just loved getting ready for today and his party at pre-school. Noah was to make a Valentine box. So, we found a shoe box and decorated it with some stuff I found at the Dollar Store. It looked great! He chose 3-D Transformer Valentine's this year and did a GREAT job filling them out with no help! Go Noah! We also decided to "Heart Attack" some family members. The boys and I cut out different colored hearts in different sizes and decorated most of them with crayons or stickers. Then last night we went on a recon mission. Noah is SO into spy stuff right now and before we left he came downstairs in dark pants, dark shirt, his black church shoes, dark blue coat (with the hood up) and then a black ball cap on top of that! He says, "Mom, NO ONE is going to see ME!" He planned the entire mission. "Nathan, you're going to be the guard. Mom, you're going to put the hearts on the door. And I'm going to be the spy". Gotta love a planner!
First we "attacked" my parents door. Next, was my sister, Megan, and last was Grandad Ed. The kids had so much fun being super quiet and then running, as Nathan says "as fast as whitening!" (fast as lightning) back to the car! It was a very successful mission!
This morning I got up and made heart shaped waffles with different kinds of Valentine sprinkles in them. Nathan loves saying "Happy Bowentimes Day, Mom!" Then Noah comes to me later and wants me to look in the playroom. He cleaned everything up by himself! I told him how proud I was of him and he told me that it was my Valentine present! Are my kids the best or what? Tonight my fantastic SIL, Rachel, offered to watch the kids for us so Scott and I could go on a date! Woohoo! All in all it was a good day. And, no, I don't have any pics, but I did get some flair. Hope everyone had a Happy Hearts Day!
