Out of the mouths of babes

Today I was in my bathroom getting ready for the day when Nathan comes in. He announces that he has to go to the bathroom and that he's going to go poop. (Does anyone else get these announcements? Must I know what he's going to do?) Anyhoo, he comes out a second later holding a thick book. Here's our conversation:

Me: "Whatcha doin', bud?"
Nathan: "I need dis book".
Me: "Why? Do you need to stand on it to reach the the potty?"
Nathan: "No. But you know when you go poop you're apposed (supposed) to wead a book".

Niiiiiiiicccceeeee.........
