some of his sibling's families went out of town and the rest of us had the evening with our own little families.
We decided as a family to go bowling that afternoon. After getting ready to go I came out of my bathroom and found my crew (and cat) "sleeping". Aren't they cute?!?
Off to bowling! Noah patiently waiting to see how many pins he knocks down.
Noah was our family's biggest cheerleader!
Noah and I bowled 3 games, Nathan bowled 5 and Scott bowled 8 or so. He had a lane to himself and would bowl a ball and race back to get another one and then bowl that one. The faster he went the better he did! He then decided to try to beat the "arm" that clears away pins that are down by timing his release of the ball so it would barely roll under the arm as it was rising. It was a ton of fun to watch!
That evening we did a family service project and then read and talked about the story of Jesus' birth. Afterwards, we started our new tradition of making and eating chocolate fondue! Our favorite was dipping strawberry filled Fig Newtons!
Then the boys changed into their new pj's, put cookies out for Santa and went to bed.
Scott and I turned on Christmas music and began wrapping presents. My sweet friend, Rebecca and her hubby delivered peppermint rolls to us fresh from her oven. Check these out! Yummy!
I put a dinner roll to show how HUGE the peppermint rolls were!
My goal was to be in bed by 11, but Scott and I started talking and stopped wrapping gifts. We had a wonderful talk and it was lovely having that time alone with him. We began wrapping again and finally finished around 1am. It was so worth it! I adore Christmas Eve!
