Animal GROSSology

I took Noah and a friend downtown to the Museum of Natural Sciences to see the exhibit on Animal Grossology. And yes, it was gross.

We played a game that had us learning about all kinds of slime.

Did you know that flies carry over a million bacteria on their little bodies? EWWWW!
Yes, that is a game all about dung.
Tapeworms, anyone? There was a video showing tapeworms in action and if you lifted that toilet seat cover, you saw a blob of poop.
This part talked about scents and why dogs smell each other's bums. See those yellow things sticking up over the boxes? You could squeeze each of them and guess the scent you were smelling. Erin didn't play this one.
Oh, yes. And then there was the exhibit on caca. The poop of just about every type of animal known to man was described here. In detail.

This was a cute game of trying to get the baby frogs on their lily pads. Oh yeah, and hurling.

This showed a cow chewing its cud, how food goes through the 4 stomachs of a cow and when it's done the cow lifts its tail and passes some serious gas.

Noah enjoys reading about the things he sees.

The "Meet the Animals" show was about snakes! Woohoo.
I love that pic of Noah. He just seems so laid back, like, "sure, whatever. I'll touch that snake".
Afterwards, we saw a black widow, a brown recluse and a tarantula. I also learned that granddaddy long legs are not spiders - they're arachnids! On to the butterfly house...
We ate lunch and then Noah got eaten by a shark.
The End.
