Mother of the Year Award/Mom's Birthday
Saturday afternoon (Sept. 25) my babysitter calls me to let me know that Nathan was on the playset and was crying. He said his arm hurt. I told her to put some ice on it and I'd call back to see how he was doing. About 45 min. later I called and she said he was doing fine. He'd slept a bit and they were now playing a board game. He was in bed when I got home. The next morning we were getting dressed for church and Nathan says he's not going b/c his arm hurt. He was holding it close to his body like he was protecting it. Scott and I checked it out and there was no noticeable signs of anything wrong (no swelling, discoloration, no bones popping out, etc.). Scott said that he'd take him to get x-rays just in case, so Noah and I went to church. That evening my family was coming over for dinner and games to celebrate my mom's birthday. Scott called to say that Nathan had broken BOTH bones in his arm and they were putting him in a splint! I cannot believe my boy broke both bones in his arm and was walking around like everything was fine! When he got home he was so excited to show us that he received 2 stickers for being soooooooooooooooo brave! Poor Nathan - I'm still waiting to get my "Mother of the Year" award...
Grandma and Nathan

I love my mom's smile in this pic! Her eyes are really thin, so when she smiles it's like she has no eyes!
Nathan and Meg's boyfriend, Dan. You can see the tops of his 2 stickers!

Again, my dad has street cred.
